Extra! Extra! Read All About it! The good news of Jesus Christ was joyfully broadcast on October 18-19, 2001 as over 900 women gathered at Women in the Word 2001 at Grace Baptist Church in Hudson, MA to acknowledge Him as the only hope for our sin-ridden world. Women came from over 150 churches, 11 states, and Canada. What a delight to worship together and be confronted with the Word of God through our energetic and engaging keynote speaker, Becky Pippert. Women uniformly testified to the impact of the Holy Spirit upon their lives regarding the importance of sharing the gospel. The church has a window of opportunity that we don't want to miss. Here we are, Lord, send us!

Highlights of the conference included:

• 30 workshops led by a varied and experienced group of women leaders. We are blessed with many gifted and godly women speakers in New England.
  
• The birthing of our newest ministry “child” The Leadership Training for Women in Ministry initiative. Over 100 ladies participated in 8 leadership-training classes.
  
• Heart-felt and God-honoring worship under the direction of Christina Davidson and team. A special noontime concert with Women of Praise was presented.
  
• Networking luncheons for ministry wives, Bible study leaders, Women’s ministries’ leaders and market place women.
  
• A new-record offering towards Vision New England Women’s Ministries and World Relief’s African Aids effort. $7239.32 was given with $2,500 awarded to World Relief. I praise the Lord for His faithfulness and your generosity-thank you!!
  
• A stellar group of committed women from 9 area churches who made up our faithful and hard-working leadership team.
  
• A gracious and generous host church, Grace Baptist Church in Hudson, MA

I praise the Lord for the way He continues to use this conference to further His Kingdom work. And I praise Him for all of you, my sisters in Christ, as together we spread His good news throughout our region and country.
